Brian Sousis

Brian is a recent graduate of SUNY Geneseo with a degree in Musical Theatre.  Previous shows that he has worked on are: Company, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, Pippin, and Antigone.  He is very excited to be a part of the production team for this fantastic season and hopes everyone enjoys the work that everyone has put into it.

Emma Flynn is over the moon to be returning to the Mac for her second season. She recently graduated from The Hartt School of Music where she earned a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre. Some of her favorite roles include Holly in The Wedding Singer and Nellie Forbush in South Pacific. Emma is so so grateful to the Mac-Haydn Theatre and the whole community of Chatham for welcoming her back for the summer!

Jonah Hale

Jonah is an NYC-based performer and is thrilled to be returning to Chatham and the Mac-Haydn stage this summer. Originally from Minnesota, Jonah moved to New York City in the fall of 2015 to attend Wagner College where he later graduated with a B.A. in Theatre Performance and a Minor in Dance. Jonah was last seen on the Mac-Haydn stage in 2022 as a gangster brushing up his Shakespeare in Kiss Me Kate. Other favorite Mac-Haydn credits include Kenickie in Grease, Sammy in The Wedding Singer, Smokey in Damn Yankees, and Santa Clause in Annie. Jonah would like to thank his friends and his family for all of their love and support. Special shout out to fellow Mac-Haydn alumni Jayke Workman.

Angel Harrison is a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. She was most recently seen in the Argyle Theatre’s production of Spring Awakening, and the award winning play As Much As I Can. She has also performed in readings, concerts, and cabarets throughout New York City. She is thrilled to be making her Mac-Haydn Theatre debut.

DeShaun Tost is a baritone hailing from Steubenville, Ohio. He graduated in 2018 from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy’s integrated program. Last summer he was a cast member in various productions at the Ohio Light Opera. He is delighted to be working here at the Mac-Haydn Theatre this season, and looks forward to bringing this outstanding repertoire to life.

Mac-Haydn Theatre Debut

Nick Miller is ecstatic to be part of MacHaydn Theatre’s 2019 summer season! Nick has been active on musical and operatic stages in his home state of Minnesota, Texas, Arizona, and surrounding New York City. Most recently, he been seen as Falstaff in Mixed Precipitation’s Merry Wives of Windsor, Plunkett in Utopia Opera’s Martha, and Judd in the Engeman Theatre’s Oklahoma! Aside from his stage work, Nick is also an active instructor in many musical disciplines and an avid double bass player.

John Saunders directs this incredible Rodgers and Hammerstein classic to close out our season. He is joined by Music Director Jillian Zack who’s known well to Mac-Haydn audiences. Jillian can’t wait: “I’m very excited to bring this expansive score to the intimate space of the Mac-Haydn. The show is packed full of hits and the chance to dissect them with fresh eyes and ears is thrilling!”

Katie Johannigman joins us as choreographer for the first time this season as does Costume Designer Bethany Marx.

Saunders is excited to have the great team of Kevin Gleason and Andrew Gmoser together again for the final time this year. “Kevin and Andrew know our space so well that it is always exciting to see what we can come up with when recreating something from the classic repertoire.

Sound Designer Corbin White, Props Designer Joshua Gallagher and Hair & Makeup Designer Matthew Oliver complete the task of bringing the farmers and the cowmen to life.

Katie Johannigman (Choreographer) is so excited to be back at the Mac-Haydn with her longtime buddy, John. Director/Choreographer credits include: BERNSTEIN’S MASS (Cincinnati Ballet, May Festival, Symphony), SHREK (Connecticut Repertory Theater), LIZZIE (The Human Race Theater), MAME (The Human Race Theater), JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR (Clinton Showboat), SANTA CLAUS (Cincinnati Children’s Theater), THEY WERE YOU, SONDHEIM ON SONDHEIM, CANDIDE, THE THEORY OF RELATIVITY, GODSPELL, and HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME (CCM). She is on faculty at CCM in the Musical Theater Department, where she earned her BFA. Katie is a member of Actor’s Equity Association.

Set in the western territory on its way to becoming a state, Oklahoma! contains some of the most popular music ever written for the stage—songs like “Oh What a Beautiful Morning,” “People Will Say We’re in Love,” and the title song “Oklahoma.”

Fiona Phelps

Fiona is thrilled to be back performing on the Mac-Haydn stage, now as full company! Some of her recent productions include Something Rotten! (Ensemble, Assist. Dance Captain), Oklahoma! (Young Laurey), Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (Belle), Urinetown (Little Sally), and The Addams Family (Alice). As a dancer, Fiona has trained and competed in numerous different styles, her favorite always being tap. She trained with the Joffrey Ballet, doing their tap summer intensive and most recently performed in Manhattanville College’s Fall Dance Concert. Fiona is working to receive her BFA in Musical Theater from Manhattanville College where she will be performing in A Chorus Line as Sheila this upcoming fall! She would like to thank all of her family, friends and teachers for their support always!

Jillian Zack

Jillian Zack is a New York City based pianist, vocal coach, and music director. She made her Broadway debut performing as the MD and onstage organ player (sub) for To Kill a Mockingbird. She currently serves as a Key2 player sub and rehearsal pianist for Funny Girl on Broadway. She has performed at various venues throughout New York City, including Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall, and at The Juilliard School. She has also performed recitals throughout the United States, the UK, and New Zealand. Off-Broadway: Theatre Row. Regional: Paper Mill Playhouse, The Mac-Haydn Theater, Cape Fear Regional Theater, Theatre Workshop of Nantucket. As a coach, she maintains a full studio, both in partnership with the Magaziner Vocal Studio as well as privately. She specializes in both musical theater and classical repertoire, and has experience with all ages. BM Manhattan School of Music. MM The Juilliard School.

Gabe Belyeu

Gabe Belyeu is ecstatic to be back home at the Mac for another season! Last year you saw him as Zach in A Chorus Line, Officer Lockstock in Urinetown, Dr. Madden in Next to Normal, and Harold in The Full Monty; as well as his Berkshire Theatre Award winning performance in his cabaret, A Call to Places. Over the past year, Gabe was featured in The Great Gatsby at Ivoryton Playhouse and starred in Scrooge the musical at Theatre Workshop of Nantucket. Other favorite roles at the Mac include Cervantes in Man of La Mancha, Christopher Belling in Curtains, Tateh in Ragtime, Arthur in Camelot, and Roger DeBris in The Producers, to name a few.
