Do I Need To Be Vaccinated To Attend A Performance?

Yes. All patrons, staff and performers will need to be fully vaccinated with an FDA-approved vaccine in order to attend performances at the Mac-Haydn Theatre. Furthermore, all patrons entering the theatre must show proof of vaccination with their valid ticket.

“Fully vaccinated” means the performance date you are attending must be:

The only exception to the above will be for children under the age of 12, who must be accompanied by a vaccinated adult, wear a mask for the entire performance and also provide proof of the following:

Please note, there will be absolutely no exceptions to this testing requirement for children under the age of 12.

Children Under The Age Of 12

Unfortunately, due to the current conditions in Columbia County, we will no longer be allowing children under the age of 12 to attend the theatre, even if they have been tested and are accompanied by a vaccinated adult. This is a change to our conditions made on July 23 and we apologize if you were planning to bring your child to the theatre this season. As always, we are operating with an abundance of caution in an effort to protect the Mac-Haydn family and the Columbia County community. If you had intended to bring your child to the theatre, please Contact Our Box Office immediately. You will receive a full refund for your child’s ticket.

What Proof Of My Vaccination Do I Need?

Proof of Vaccination

Proof of vaccination must come directly from the healthcare provider that performed the vaccination.

Guests can display proof on a smartphone or present a physical copy.

New York State residents or anyone who received a COVID-19 vaccine in New York State may present proof through the use of the Excelsior Pass.

Click Here for more details and to sign up for the Excelsior Pass.

Government Issued Photo ID

In addition to proof of vaccination, all guests 18 years or older must also be prepared to present a government-issued photo ID such as a driver’s license or passport. Guests younger than 18 may use a government-issued photo ID or school photo ID.

Please note, there will be absolutely no exceptions to these identification requirements.

I Was Vaccinated With A Vaccine Not Approved By The FDA. Can I Attend?

No. At the direction of New York State, The Mac-Haydn Theatre will only be accepting proof of FDA-approved COVID-19 vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson).

I Am Not Getting Vaccinated Or Will Not Be Fully Vaccinated In Time. Is There Any Way I Can Attend?

We are very sorry but unfortunately you are not eligible to attend any Mac-Haydn performances in 2021.

We hope you understand that the health and safety of our community must be our number one priority and that we must comply with the guidelines of the CDC and New York State Health authorities.

We really hope to see you back at the Mac-Haydn in the future.

Is The Physical Box Office Open

Out of an abundance of caution our Box Office will have only limited open hours for in person ticket sales. It will be open for in person sales 1 hour before any show time and remain open until the end of the performance.

Patrons wishing to come to the box office to purchase a ticket in person must be fully vaccinated with an FDA-approved vaccine in order to access the building.

Furthermore, all patrons entering the theatre must show proof of vaccination.

Rememeber that all tickets will be available for purchase via 518-392-9292 or online at www.machaydntheatre.org/season-of-shows/

Ticket Sales will start in early July.

Please note, there will be absolutely no exceptions to these identification requirements.

Is Theatre Seating Socially Distant?

We will not be using socially distanced seating at the Mac-Haydn Theatre. A possible exception will be our Children’s Theatre Production. However, we are still building our protocols for those performances.

Am I Required To Wear A Mask?

Out of an abundance of caution and because of the confined nature of our access points, we are requiring all patrons to wear masks until they are seated. Once seated you may remove your mask. Your mask must then be worn again as you move about the theatre or exit the building.

What Other Protocols Is The Mac-Haydn Putting In Place Because Of COVID-19?

The Mac-Haydn Theatre’s COVID-19 protocols are subject to change. Any changes will be clearly communicated to ticket holders in advance of their performance.

Ticket holders who do not comply with venue protocols will not be admitted.
