Clint Hromsco

Clint is thrilled to join the Mac-Haydn family. He is an actor, director and puppeteer based in NYC and has performed in 5 national tours, at countless regional theaters and in several NYC productions. He has also been featured in several NYC, regional and international commercials, print ads and TV shows. His work can be seen in Before I Go, starring Annabella Sciorra, currently streaming on Amazon Prime and in the film Resilient, for which he won Best Supporting Actor at the NY International Film Festival and the Vegas Movie Awards. Clint won the 2022 BroadwayWorld Chicago Award for Best Direction of a Musical for his work on La Cage Aux Folles. His production of Frankenstein the Musical ran for 3 years Off-Broadway and was selected to perform at the 2019 Broadway in Bryant Park series. Sarah Goethe-Jones

Sarah is a costume designer and seamstress for film, theatre, and dance. She recently costume designed her first feature film, as well as a short film, in 2023. She is faculty of the Dance and Theatre Department at Union College in Schenectady of NY, and her creations were seen in their annual dance show and their spring production of “You On The Moors Now.” She holds a fashion degree from Parsons New School of Design in NYC and is a published fashion historian, recently contributing an assay for The Art Students League of NYC anniversary publication. A former professional dancer, she continues dancing and will be performing in Amherst Early Music Festivals “Il Trionfo dell’Onor” by Scarlatti. She lives in Latham, NY with her husband and three rambunctious cats.

Matt Levinstein

Matt Levinstein (Associate Music Director) is a New York/Boston based MD, Conductor, Multi-Instrumentalist, Orchestrator, Keyboard Programmer, Copyist, and Educator. He is a recent Berklee College of Music Alumni (FA 23′) as a Piano Principal. He graduated with a BM in Professional Music, with concentrations in Musical Theatre Conducting, Arranging, and Music Education. Favorite show credits include Music Director for Berklee’s Broadway Band and Curtain Up (Berklee), Falsettos and You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown (Emerson College), CUT! (Green Room 42), Matilda the Musical (Open Fields Theatre), and Associate Music Director for Beautiful and RENT (Theatre Aspen). Clay Cates

Clay Cates is a theatre artist and props maker originally from New Hampshire, now located in NYC. He is thrilled to join Mac Haydn for this wonderful summer of theatre! Previous credits include Properties Design for Winnipesaukee Playhouse, Weathervane Theater, and Seacoast Repertory Theatre. Outside of props, favorite projects include: puppet construction for Avenue Q (SRT) and Little Shop of Horrors (Weathervane), wardrobe supervision for A Christmas Carol (National Tour), work as a camp counselor and on original TYA shows with Upside Arts, and as the stage manager of Senior Rep; a repertory theatre company comprised of senior members of the Seacoast, NH community. When not in the prop shop, you can find Clay enjoying the outdoors, jamming to the Grateful Dead, or practicing yoga. Love to Sarah, Daisy, and Willow.

Tania Barrenechea

Tania is a scenic designer and artisan for the theatre. She received her B. Arch in architecture from Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru in 2015. Before beginning her MFA, she worked as an architect for 5 years in the architecture studio Vicca Verde in Lima, Peru.

She received her MFA in Scenic Design from the Pennsylvania State University. Production credits include A Little Night Music directed by Phillip Fazio and To kill a Mockingbird directed by Susan Schulman at The Pennsylvania State University. She has assisted Milagros Ponce de Leon in the Production of Miss you Like Hell at the Olney Theatre Center in Maryland and Life is a dream at the Gala Theatre in DC.

She is the Head of Design at the University of Central Arkansas and an Assistant Professor of design at the Film, Theatre and Creative Writing Department.

Alivia Cross

Alivia Cross is MFA in scenic design candidate at Penn State University. She holds a B.A in Technical Theatre and Psychology from Wheaton College, Norton Massachusetts. Alivia is an experienced scenic artist, having worked at various companies including Gulfshore Playhouse and Penobscot Theatre Company. Her recent scenic design credits include Urinetown and Falsettos at Penn State Centre Stage, Jersey Boys and The Sound of Music at the MacHaydn Theatre, and assistant design for Laugh, Cry, Pee, Repeat at The Naples Players in Florida. She is excited to be returning to the Mac-Haydn Theatre as the scenic designer for West Side Story, Rent, and All Shook Up. Alivia is excited to be back in the shop and thanks the entire Mac-Haydn company for continually telling powerful stories.

Hannah Sadler

Hannah Sadler is a junior BFA Costume Design student at Marymount Manhattan. Past Mac Haydn credits include stitcher for the 2023 summer season. Other credits include, Equity Through Design Mentorship, Mentor Tobin Ost 2022-2024. Costume shop intern at Marymount Manhattan. Marymount Manhattan College Productions Credits include: Uncle Vanya, Assistant Costume Designer, R&H Cinderella Hair and makeup Designer, Carrie the Musical, Wardrobe Supervisor, Stitcher for Head over Heels, SpongeBob the Musical, Caucasian Chalk Circle, Loves Labour Lost. West Side Story is Hannah’s debut professional design and they are so excited to return to the Mac for the summer! Adriana Ayala

Adriana Ayala received her BFA in Theatre Design/Technology (props focus) from the University of the West Florida in May of 2022. During college, she was able to design props for three mainstage shows, her favorite being The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Immediately after graduating, she went on to complete a year long props/paint internship at Florida Studio Theatre where she had the opportunity to design props for the children’s theatre season as well as make props throughout the summer and winter seasons. Her favorite thing about props is finding interesting ways to make props and finding items that help enhance the show. She is excited to help enhance the theatre experience here at Mac-Haydn!

Mandy is excited to join the Mac-Haydn team! Having performed with the National Tour of 42nd Street, she has been looking forward to revisiting the show as a choreographer! Some favorite choreographer credits: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, The Sound of Music, White Christmas, Drowsy Chaperone, Newsies, Head Over Heels, Church Basement Ladies. As a performer, she has worked at various theaters including Marriott Theater, Drury Lane Theater, Chicago Shakespeare, Paramount theater, The Wick, Mill Mountain Theater. Mr. Knowlton’s extensive career has spanned from Broadway to appearing in multiple National Tours, Film and TV. He is an award winning director/choreographer with credits that include: CABARET & CHICAGO (NH Theatre Award “Best Choreographer”, ONSTAGE Theatre Award Nomination “Best Choreography”), MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD (Kennedy Center American College Theatre Award “Outstanding Choreography”) BEEHIVE! (Berkshire Theatre Award nomination “Best Choreographer”) SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER/MAMMA MIA (SALT Award nomination “Best Choreographer”) among many others. Sean is excited to be returning for another summer at The Mac-Haydn. Some of his favorite designs he has put on stage here are Godspell, Xanadu, 42nd Street, and Jersey Boys(which won an award for best sound design). He enjoys spending his summers here in Chatham and working with the creative teams to build incredible shows in such a short period. Sean has a degree in Music Industry and Recording Technology from York College of Pennsylvania. His designs have been seen and heard at The Naples Players, Gulfshore Playhouse, Gable Stage, Timberlake Playhouse, Theatre Workshop of Nantucket, The Penobscot Theatre, and Suncoast Broadway Dinner Theatre. Caitlin Maxwell

Caitlin Maxwell is thrilled to be returning to MHT as the Hair Designer a decade after she was running shows as the Hair Supervisor for MHT 2007- 2010. Since working at the MacHaydn, Caitlin has toured nationally and internationally as a Hair, Wig and Make-up Supervisor on Wizard of Oz, Young Frankenstein, Shrek and Beauty and the Beast. After touring for 5 years, she moved to the city where she got her cosmetology license while swinging on the Broadway shows Phantom of the Opera and Gentlemen’s Guide. After graduating cosmo school, Caitlin supervised and assistant supervised the Hair Department on Broadway’s King & I, Finding Neverland, Cherry Orchard, War Paint, Travesties and Moulin Rouge. This year, she joined the hair department at SNL., and has had the pleasure of working on many other films and tv shows and builds wigs for many designers.

James Barry

Mac-Haydn Theatre Debut

James Barry is thrilled to make his Mac-Haydn debut with this stellar team! Recent directing credits include Working: A Musical (BroadwayWorld Best Director of a Musical Berkshire Region, 2019) and Million Dollar Quartet (Berkshire Theatre Critics Award Outstanding Direction of a Musical, 2017) for Berkshire Theatre Group, and Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson and Working: A Musical at Wagner College Theatre. As an actor, credits include Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson (Public/Broadway), Million Dollar Quartet (1st nat’l tour), These Paper Bullets (Yale Rep, The Geffen, The Atlantic), and extensive local work with both Chester Theatre Company (Pass Over, Title & Deed, The Aliens) and BTG (Tommy, The Caretaker, A Thousand Clowns). James is a recent graduate of Smith College’s MFA Playwriting program and releases original rock music as a solo artist and with the band Secret Pint.

Trey Compton (Director, Godspell) is thrilled to return to The Mac having directed Urinetown last summer. A New York City based director, regional directing credits include: The Fulton, Riverside, Engeman, Millbrook, Lincoln Park, and Cortland Repertory (SALT Award- 2019.) As an assistant or associate director, Off-Broadway credits include Yank! (The York) and White’s Lies (New World Stages.) Also, multiple credits regionally at Seattle 5th Avenue, Goodspeed, and The Ogunquit Playhouse. He has directed at various Universities and Colleges including Penn, Georgetown, Stephens, Nazareth, and his alma mater, Pace University. Eric Shorey

Eric is thrilled to return to MHT for his 3rd season. He is delighted for audiences to experience the incredible talents of the entire company. His music direction at MHT include Urinetown, Next To Normal, Footloose, Godspell, and last season’s smash hit Jersey Boys. He also proudly music directed the Berkshire Theatre Award Winning A Call To Places starring Gabe Belyeu. Elsewhere, Eric has music directed productions of My Way, Scrooge, A Man of No Importance, and numerous concerts and cabarets. Eddie Gutiérrez

Mac-Haydn Theatre Debut

EDDIE GUTIERREZ is a NYC based performer, director, and choreographer, working in both NYC and Los Angeles, on-stage and on-camera. After extensive work performing in productions of A Chorus Line including the 2016 Hollywood Bowl and 2018 NY City Center productions, Eddie was trained by Baayork Lee and the Michael Bennett estate in all of Bennett’s original direction and choreography for A Chorus Line, and now directs productions around the country. He has also studied with Moisés Kaufman and Tectonic Theater Project at NYU’s Experimental Theatre Wing, using their signature theater creation technique: “Moment Work” to generate new work for the university. Other directing and choreography credits include Loveology (Ars Nova), The Desert Rose (NYC Fringe Festival), Twilight: the Musical, MarInspired the Storytellers contemporary dance company, numerous commercials, and occasional guest teacher at NYU’s New Studio on Broadway.

Todd L. Underwood is excited to be back at Mac-Hadyn Theater. He was last here as the director/choreographer for The Full Monty and Man of La Mancha. He is the Associate Artistic Director at Ivoryton Playhouse in CT. Regional credits: A Chorus Line, Grease, The Color Purple, Man of La Mancha, West Side Story, Saturday Night Fever (Connecticut Critics Circle Award nomination), Rent, Chicago, La Cage aux Folles, Dreamgirls, Chicago, AIDA, The Princess and the Black-Eyed Pea (NAACP Theater Award nomination), independent film, Were the World Mine (Astaire Award nomination), Memphis (Bay Area Circle Critics Award and Connecticut Critics Circle Award nominations), Ain’t We Got Fun (London Concert). Courtney Laine Self

Courtney is thrilled to be making her Mac-Haydn debut! She recently directed/choreographed the regional theatre premiere of Fun Home at Millbrook Playhouse, directed/choreographed All Shook Up at The Hartt School, and directed the world premiere of new play Sheila and Moby in DC. Earlier this summer she assistant directed Proof of Love Off-Broadway co-produced by Audible Theatre and New York Theatre Workshop and last summer she associate directed Oliver! at Goodspeed Opera House. This summer in addition to Mac-Haydn, she’s directing/choreographing for Jean’s Playhouse, Millbrook Playhouse, New Paradigm Theatre Company, and Arizona Broadway Theatre. Previously, she was the Head of Dance for the BFA in Music Theatre and a professor of theatre and movement at Southern Illinois University. Elizabeth McGuire

Elizabeth McGuire is a dancer, choreographer, and arts advocate living in NYC. In 2011, Elizabeth Co-Founded ToUch Performance Art, a dance-theater company that specializes in immersive and multi-disciplinary performances, and has produced over 50 shows as Co-Artistic Director and Resident Choreographer. She has choreographed at the Signature Theater, the Connelly Theater, AMDA, and the Manhattan School of Music. Elizabeth serves as Executive Director for Broadway Bound Kids, a non-profit dedicated to providing access to arts education in NYC. At the Mac, she has choreographed Camelot, Pippin, Urinetown, Full Monty, the Sound of Music and Godspell. Bethany Marx

Bethany Marx is an Associate Professor of Theatre specializing in Costume Design at SUNY Oneonta in Upstate New York. She has been designing costumes for select Mac-Haydn productions since 2017, including Hello, Dolly!, Oklahoma, Mamma Mia, The Wedding Singer, She Loves Me, Urinetown, Next to Normal, 42nd Street and Footloose. Bethany has also designed for Capital Repertory Theatre in Albany, the Virginia Shakespeare Festival, the Fairbanks Shakespeare Theatre, and others. She also owns and performs with a children’s party entertainment company serving central New York. She enjoys spending time with her husband and step-daughter, and their four cats. She holds a BFA from the University of Evansville in Evansville, IN and an MFA from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Emma Cummings

Emma Cummings is a Pittsburgh based Scenic Artist and Scenic Designer. She is delighted to return to the Mac this year as she has worked with the MacHaydn Theatre since 2017. At the Mac, she has designed the sets for Next to Normal, Pippin, Little Shop of Horrors and The Wedding Singer, as well as serving as a painter and carpenter for dozens of other productions. She has worked on many productions all over the North East including: New York, Connecticut, and Vermont. She is currently working as the Scene Shop Foreman at City Theatre Company in Pittsburgh, PA. Jillian Zack

Jillian Zack is a New York City based pianist, vocal coach, and music director. She made her Broadway debut performing as the MD and onstage organ player (sub) for To Kill a Mockingbird. She currently serves as a Key2 player sub and rehearsal pianist for Funny Girl on Broadway. She has performed at various venues throughout New York City, including Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall, and at The Juilliard School. She has also performed recitals throughout the United States, the UK, and New Zealand. Off-Broadway: Theatre Row. Regional: Paper Mill Playhouse, The Mac-Haydn Theater, Cape Fear Regional Theater, Theatre Workshop of Nantucket. As a coach, she maintains a full studio, both in partnership with the Magaziner Vocal Studio as well as privately. Sebastiani Romagnolo

Sebastiani is full of gratitude to the Mac-Hadyn for having him back for their 50th season. He has been a part of many shows at the Mac-Hadyn both on and off the stage. Last season his choreography for Hello, Dolly! won Outstanding Choreography at the Berkshire Theatre Awards. Other Mac-Hadyn credits include Spamalot, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, The Addams Family, and The Producers. Some of his other credits Andrew Lippa’s The Wild Party (Yale), Spring Awakening (Sarah Lawrence), Kiss of the Spider Woman (NYU), Walk the Night (Blue Barn Theater), and as a collaborator on the New York Times Critic’s pick The Grand Paradise. He works as an assistant to and collaborator with Chris Gattelli (Broadway: Newsies, War Paint, Spongebob Squarepants Musical). He is also a performer and has performed at Lincoln Center, Merry Go Round Playhouse, Sleep No More(NYC), Seeing You (NYC), and The Grand Paradise (NYC). Angela Carstensen

Angela Carstensen is thrilled to be back at The Mac for a sixth year! Broadway credits include Funny Girl. TV credits include The Food That Built America, History Channel. Regional Theatre costume design credits include, The Legend of Georgia McBride (Ivoryton Playhouse), Footloose (Theatre Workshop Nantucket). Previous Mac-Haydn costume design credits include: Xanadu & The Full Monty (2022), Pippin (2021), Cabaret (2018), Saturday Night Fever & Spamalot (2017) and South Pacific (2016). In addition to working in costume shops, Angela spent three years on the road with national tours: Waitress, The Spongebob Musical, and The Sound of Music. You might recall Angela briefly being on stage last year when her now fiancé, Anthony proposed during the run of Kiss Me Kate.

Mandy Modic

Mandy is so excited to be back at the Mac-Haydn after choreographing 42nd Street last year, which got her a nomination for a Berkie award for Best Choreography! Some favorite professional choreographer credits include: Beauty and the Beast, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Matilda (director/choreographer), Sound of Music, State Fair, White Christmas, Drowsy Chaperone, and Newsies. Mandy is passionate about educational theater and has helped build musical theater programs abroad in Shanghai. China and Lima, Peru. As a performer, she has toured and performed at various theaters around the country- most recently seen in Guys and Dolls at Drury Lane Theater. Up next: Mandy is choreographing and associate directing Cinderella at Metropolis Theater in Chicago. Proud AEA member. Andrew Gmoser

Andrew Gmoser is thrilled that the Mac-Haydn is back, that he is part of it, and that you are here. In his 28 seasons at the Mac-Haydn he has designed the lighting for over 170 of our shows, and created the sets for some of our most spectacular productions, including Beauty and The Beast, Jekyll & Hyde, Les Miserables, Spamalot, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Ragtime, and Man of La Mancha. Andrew owns and operates Silent G Productions, providing design, equipment, and consultation for live theatre, dance, and concerts throughout Westchester, NY and beyond. Andrew’s best and most important production is with his lovely wife, Catherine: their twins, Thomas and Elizabeth!

Ashley DeLane Burger

Ashley DeLane Burger (Director/Choreographer) is returning for her 5th Season! She has been enjoying trying on as many different “hats” in the industry as possible over the last decade. Beyond a choreographer & performer Ashley DeLane is a proud teaching artist, at studio, high school and collegiate levels, judges dance competitions around the country, and last winter she joined the CoComelon Live National Tour as their Company Manager. Erin Spears Ledford

Erin Spears Ledford is honored to return to The Mac- Haydn Theatre for her 10th Season where she has worked in both performance and creative roles. Erin’s past Mac- Haydn directing credits include: Footloose, Kiss Me Kate, Little Shop of Horrors, The Wedding Singer and Asst. Director on Man Of La Mancha. In 2021 Erin received a Berkshire Theatre Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Ilona in Mac- Haydn’s production of She Loves Me. Other memorable Mac roles include: The World Goes Round, Rosie in Mamma Mia, Sister Mary Patrick in Sister Act and Alice in Addams Family. Favorite regional credits include: Mrs. Sowerberry/ Nancy US in Oliver! (National Tour) and Anita in West Side Story (Circa 21.) When she is not treading the boards at The Mac, Erin works as a Teaching Artist with Inside Broadway in NYC. Thanks to JL, MDKR, JS.

Program Coordinator - After School Program for Actors
Jimm Halliday

Beginning with Annie in 1984, Jimm has been a fixture here at The Mac for 33 seasons, having designed over 185 MainStage musicals. With the NETworks Touring Group, Jimm has been the Costume Director for over 25 National Tours since 1999, including Victor/Victoria with Toni Tennille, Annie at Madison Square Garden with Katie Lee Gifford, Bully with John Davidson, and Sweet Charity with Molly Ringwold. Jimm was the US Costume Associate for the last National Tour of Les Misérables and the Costume Director for the Toronto production of the show, which then transferred to Broadway. He also was Costume Director for the Kennedy Center production of Ragtime, winning the Helen Hayes Award for Best Costume Design. This fall Jimm will be working on the National Tours of The Sound of Music and The Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder. Special thanks to the amazing collection of cutters, stitchers, wardrobe and wig designers that have made these productions come to life, and to Lynne, John and Monica for always being there.

John Saunders

John Saunders is honored to be working alongside this fantastic cast, crew, box office team, ushers, coffeehouse gang, and the amazing volunteers. Some directing highlights here: HELLO DOLLY (Berkshire Theatre Award Winner Best Musical), RAGTIME ( Berkshire Theatre Award Winner Best Director and Best Musical), JERSEY BOYS, PIPPIN, THE BAKER’S WIFE, THE PRODUCERS, YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, NEXT TO NORMAL, THE FULL MONTY, LES MISERABLES, CHICAGO, OLIVER! and many others.Some highlights as an actor here: 1776 (Adams), MY FAIR LADY (Higgins), CAROUSEL (Jigger), THE SECRET GARDEN (Archie), and HAIRSPRAY (Edna). Elsewhere: National Tours: MY FAIR LADY, OLIVER!, CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG. Regionally: The Papermill Playhouse and The Northshore Music Theatre. John is currently on faculty at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy.
