Michael Axtell

Mac-Haydn Theatre Debut

An actor, singer, pianist and music director, Michael David Axtell is a multi-faceted performing artist. A former member of the Grammy award winning ensemble, Chanticleer, Michael appears on four of their live concert recordings and two of their studio albums. He is an accomplished voice actor with well over 100 audiobooks, several podcasts and at least 100 articles for Apple News+ to his name. In live performance, Michael narrated Stravinsky’s L’Histoire du Soldat with the Enigma Ensemble in San Francisco, Aaron Jay Kernis’ Seasons of Italian Futurist Cuisine at the Mannes Sounds Festival and Michael Grossman’s Work in Progress at the James Joyce Society. Favorite stage roles include Henry VI in Henry VI Part 3, Brutus in Julius Caesar, Herr Schultz in Cabaret, Sammy “Mammy” Wurlitzer in Happy End, Mr. Ford in Nicolai’s Merry Wives of Windsor and Martin in Candide. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Voice and Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Lawrence University and a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the New School College of Performing Arts in New York City.

Mac-Haydn Theatre Debut

Troy, born and raised in Massachusetts, is a recent graduate from Shenandoah University with their BFA in Musical Theatre. Performing since the age of 11, Troy finds all of their passion for the arts through dance. Growing up around Boston, there were plenty of opportunities for Troy to discover their love for dance/theatre. But it wasn’t until the sixth grade when they started kicking their face; although they did give some stelar performances to Lady Gaga in their kitchen from the ages of 8-11. Some of Troy’s favorite credits include A CHORUS LINE (Greg), HAIR (Margaret Mead/Tribe), INTO THE WOODS (Jack), and at Shenandoah Summer Music Theatre…GREASE (Eugene/Radio Singer). Troy is extremely excited and grateful for the chance to perform three wonderful shows at the Mac-Haydn Theatre this summer and wants to thank their family and friends for their continued love and support. Mac-Haydn Theatre Debut

Trevor Squiers is proud to be making his regional theatre debut at Mac-Haydn this summer. Originally from Chicago, he currently calls New York City home. A recent graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a BFA in Musical Theatre, Minor in Dance, and certificate in Environmental Ethics, he has appeared in a variety of main-stage, virtual, and student choreographed productions. Recent credits include Heathers, Macbeth, Mamma Mia!, Into The Woods, and Afterimages 2020 Dance Concert. Harrison Smith is thrilled to join the Mac-Haydn Theatre for their 2022 Season! He is a BFA Musical Theatre major at Montclair State University. His favorite credits include: Zach in A Chorus Line, Hot Blades Harry in Urinetown, and Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast. Aside from his studies in theatre, Harrison is completing a second degree in Linguistics with a concentration in American Sign Language to English interpreting. He hopes to work towards accessibility in the arts throughout his professional career. Harrison also cherishes his membership in his university’s flagship choir – Montclair State’s University Singers – and has served as choreographer for many premiere performances of new choir masterworks, including Considering Matthew Shepard and Circlesong. Mac-Haydn Theatre Debut

Jessie J. Potter is thrilled to make her Mac-Haydn Theatre debut this summer as Judy Turner in A Chorus Line, and as an ensemble member in Urinetown and Kiss Me Kate! A recent recipient of the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence, Jessie attends Marymount Manhattan College where she is earning a B.F.A in Musical Theater, with a minor in Communications. She played “Flo” in Marymount’s production of Good News, “Jacey” in Play It Forward, and was part of the Manson Trio in Pippin. Her previous professional theater work has been touring with KIDS From Wisconsin as a featured Singer/Dancer. Favorite previous roles include “Velma Kelly” in Chicago and “Elle Woods” in Legally Blonde. Jessie is also an accomplished gymnast, and plays piano and guitar. She would like to thank her family and friends for their love and support, and the Mac-Haydn Theatre family for this amazing opportunity!

Jared Martin (He/Him) is beyond excited to be making his Mac-Haydn debut this summer. Originally from Grand Rapids, MI, Jared is an Equity Membership Candidate who has worked professionally with the Hope Summer Rep Theatre company in Holland, MI. Previous professional credits include The Flick (Avery), A Year With Frog and Toad (Man Bird), and The Importance of Being Earnest (U/S Jack Worthing). Jared is a rising sophomore pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre at Shenandoah University where he has performed in A Chorus Line and HAIR. Mac-Haydn Theatre Debut

Hailing from Freeport, The Bahamas, Nina is a recent AMDA NY graduate and is excited to be joining the Mac-Hadyn Theatre this summer. When you watch Nina perform, you’d never guess that she once struggled with stage fright. Nina’s love for singing and acting started at a young age, but for a long time, her performances were confined to her bedroom where she’d belt out pop songs and reenact scenes from TV shows in front of her mirror. All of that changed when Nina was cast in her local theatre’s production of “Oliver! The Musical” — that first dress rehearsal was the moment she fell in love with the magical world of live theatre. Now, she’s thrilled to finally be pursuing her dreams in New York.

Bella DePaola is so excited to make her Mac Haydn debut! Bella is a New Jersey Native but currently lives in New York City studying at Pace University as a Junior Musical Theatre major and Commercial Dance minor. As a kid she started off in the dance competition circuit and quickly fell in love with performing. Some of her favorite roles include Velma Kelly in Chicago and Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz. Le Marquis in The Baker’s Wife, Officer Krupke in West Side Story and Shirley Markowitz (Max u/s) in The Producers. Eric is thrilled to join the Mac-Haydn team as a music director this season! As an actor, Eric has been seen across the country and abroad, including productions at Paper Mill Playhouse, Goodspeed Opera House, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, North Shore Music Theatre, The Cape Playhouse, Lyric Theatre Company, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Maine State Music Theatre, and Florida Repertory Theatre. He has sung with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra and has performed in touring productions of Cats, West Side Story, Guys and Dolls, and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Holly Lauren Dayton

Holly Lauren Dayton began performing at the age of 8 training in all disciplines of dance and piano. She graduated cum laude from Florida State University, double-majoring in Finance and Entrepreneurship. She has performed with the national tours of Elf the Musical and The Elf on the Shelf Musical. Regional credits include: A Chorus Line, Chicago, Crazy for You, Oklahoma, Beauty and the Beast, Mary Poppins, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Mamma Mia and Footloose. She was featured with Lady GaGa in the Sinatra100 CBS Special and Steve Wynn’s Showstoppers in Las Vegas. Anthony Velez is honored to be returning to the Mac-Haydn Theatre this season! He is pursuing his BFA at NYU/Tisch School of the Arts; he will become a fourth-year student at the New Studio on Broadway in the Fall. His most recent credits include Christian (Fun Home) but you might remember him as Sancho (Man of La Mancha) and Arpad (She Loves Me) at the Mac-Haydn Theatre. However, his favorite role to take on was Angel Dumott Schunard (Rent) at Pied Piper Youth Theatre. He hopes to pursue his dreams to be on Broadway after college. Jonah Hale

Jonah is an NYC-based performer and photographer who has a passion for both the performing and the visual arts. Jonah, originally from Minnesota, moved to New York City to attend Wagner College in the fall of 2015. He later graduated with a B.A. in Theatre Performace and a Minor in Dance. Jonah is a two-time Mac-Haydn alumnus and is so thrilled to be returning to Chatham this summer. He was last seen on the Mac-Haydn stage in 2018 and 2019 in roles such as Kenickie in Grease, Sammy in The Wedding Singer, Sir Dinadan in Camalot, and Santa Clause in Annie. I am excited for the opportunity to perform again at the Mac-Haydn stage! I have performed in numerous local productions, favored roles include: Lord Farquaad in Shrek the musical, Fagin in Oliver!, Thomas Nostradamus in Something Rotten!, Plankton in the Spongebob Squarepants musical, and Darryl Grady in Curtains here at the Mac! I was also super grateful for the opportunity this year, at Master Class Performing Arts in Schenectady, to appear in Beauty and the Beast as Maurice, playing opposite my real-life Belle Fiona Phelps! I started out later in life than most as a performer, and was a stage dad first. I could not have this joyful part of my life without Fiona or the support of my lovely wife Tanya!

Emily is so excited to return to the Mac-Haydn stage for another amazing season! She is currently a rising junior at Marymount Manhattan College where she is studying Musical Theatre. Some of her favorite roles have included Lady of the Lake (Spamalot), Ensemble (Ragtime), and Player (Pippin). She has also spent time working on her skills in other areas off-stage including wardrobe, props, lighting, stage management, and choreography. Emily wants to thank her parents, sisters, and her Mac-Haydn family for always supporting her and pushing her to be the best that she can be.

Brian D. Wagner

Brian D Wagner – No stranger to the Mac-Haydn stage, Brian has been seen in several shows since 2017, most recently as the Governor/Maria in Man of La Mancha during the 2021 season. Prior Mac credits include Hello Dolly (Horace Vandergelder), Ragtime (JP Morgan), Funny Girl (Flo Ziegfeld), Annie (Drake), Anything Goes (Eli Whitney) and Sunset Boulevard (Cecil B. deMille) as well as Ensemble roles in Hunchback of Notre Dame, Sweeney Todd and She Loves Me. Other favorite roles include Man In Chair (The Drowsy Chaperone), Doctor Berensteiner (A New Brain) and Dick Deadeye (HMS Pinafore). When not treading the boards, Brian can be seen selling real estate around Columbia County as well as directing a team of data analysts at an advertising agency based in NYC! As always, love to Tim for his support in all I do onstage and off.

Erin’s past Mac- Haydn directing credits include: The Wedding Singer, Little Shop of Horrors, and Asst. Director on Man Of La Mancha. In 2021 Erin received a Berkshire Theatre Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Ilona in Mac- Haydn’s production of She Loves Me. Other memorable Mac roles include: World Goes Round, Rosie in Mamma Mia, Sister Mary Patrick in Sister Act and Alice in Addams Family. Favorite regional credits include: Mrs. Sowerberry/ Nancy US in Oliver! (National Tour) and Anita in West Side Story (Circa 21.)
