Inspired by and featuring the songs of Elvis Presley
Book by Joe DiPietro
The music of Elvis comes to the Mac-Haydn stage for All Shook Up! Loosely based on Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, this rockin’ jukebox musical is a tribute to the power of music, and the importance of following your dreams.
It’s 1955, and hip-swiveling, motorcycle-riding Chad winds up in a small midwestern town after his release from prison. The self-proclaimed “roustabout” quickly catches the eye of mechanic Natalie, but to earn his attention, Natalie must change, inside and out. The once dreary, orthodox town is turned upside down after Chad’s influence inspires chaos, confusion, and most importantly, love – resulting in a night that will change them all for the better.
Time to dust off your blue suede shoes, because All Shook Up will have those shoes shuffling from the first note to the finale! Featuring Elvis’ greatest hits – “Hound Dog,” “Heartbreak Hotel,” “Blue Suede Shoes,” “All Shook Up,” and of course “Can’t Help Falling In Love,” All Shook Up promises to be an unforgettable night of music and mayhem.
