Themba Pieterse is super excited to be back at the Mac-Haydn this year. A student at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City, Themba studies with musicians in both the New York Philharmonic and the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. He started playing trumpet back when he was in third grade at the age of ten, falling in love with the commanding presence it demanded in all different types of ensembles. He has played in numerous ensembles from Jazz Bands to Full Orchestras, though his true love lies with Musical Theater Pit work. He will be playing in the pit for both A Chorus Line and Kiss Me Kate, and is very excited to work with the brilliant musicians, actors, dancers, and crew that call the Mac home!
