Tania Barrenechea

Tania is a scenic designer and artisan for the theatre. She received her B. Arch in architecture from Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru in 2015. Before beginning her MFA, she worked as an architect for 5 years in the architecture studio Vicca Verde in Lima, Peru.

She received her MFA in Scenic Design from the Pennsylvania State University. Production credits include A Little Night Music directed by Phillip Fazio and To kill a Mockingbird directed by Susan Schulman at The Pennsylvania State University. She has assisted Milagros Ponce de Leon in the Production of Miss you Like Hell at the Olney Theatre Center in Maryland and Life is a dream at the Gala Theatre in DC.

She is the Head of Design at the University of Central Arkansas and an Assistant Professor of design at the Film, Theatre and Creative Writing Department.

Alivia Cross

Alivia Cross is MFA in scenic design candidate at Penn State University. She holds a B.A in Technical Theatre and Psychology from Wheaton College, Norton Massachusetts. Alivia is an experienced scenic artist, having worked at various companies including Gulfshore Playhouse and Penobscot Theatre Company. Her recent scenic design credits include Urinetown and Falsettos at Penn State Centre Stage, Jersey Boys and The Sound of Music at the MacHaydn Theatre, and assistant design for Laugh, Cry, Pee, Repeat at The Naples Players in Florida. She is excited to be returning to the Mac-Haydn Theatre as the scenic designer for West Side Story, Rent, and All Shook Up. Alivia is excited to be back in the shop and thanks the entire Mac-Haydn company for continually telling powerful stories.

Erin Kiernan

Erin is returning to the Mac for her 8th summer. Past favorite designs, Oliver, La Cage, The Music Man, Rent, South Pacific. When not here with her MHT family she is the resident paint charge, scenic painting instructor and a designer at Adelphi University. This summer and everything after is dedicated to Aaron.

Emma Cummings

Emma Cummings is a Pittsburgh based Scenic Artist and Scenic Designer. She is delighted to return to the Mac this year as she has worked with the MacHaydn Theatre since 2017. At the Mac, she has designed the sets for Next to Normal, Pippin, Little Shop of Horrors and The Wedding Singer, as well as serving as a painter and carpenter for dozens of other productions. She has worked on many productions all over the North East including: New York, Connecticut, and Vermont. She is currently working as the Scene Shop Foreman at City Theatre Company in Pittsburgh, PA. Kevin Gleason
Kevin Gleason

Kevin Gleason has been involved in many theaters since his first years in college. Spending well over a decade with Silent G Productions, he has assisted Andrew Gmoser in lighting many productions, at The Westchester Broadway Theatre, Hudson Stage, Tuckahoe High School, and many others. On his own he is a Set Designer, Lighting Designer, and Technical Director working at Yorktown High School, New Canaan High School, and Nyack High School. For the past 20 years, Kevin has been the Technical Director/Master Electrician at the Mac-Haydn Theatre in Chatham, NY. At the Mac-Haydn, Kevin has also designed the lights or sets for Mamma Mia, Joseph….., Sweeney Todd, My Fair Lady, Guys & Dolls, High School Musical, Footloose and Bye, Bye Birdie. Kevin is a voracious reader, enjoys time spent at Disney World, and is always receptive to any new recipe involving bacon.
