Lucy Ritter

Born and raised in the vibrant music scene of New York and New Jersey, Lucy began playing drums at just 9 years old. Her passion for drumset flourished through high school where she studied at the Eastman School of Music and NYU Steinhardt. In addition, Lucy was awarded a full scholarship to the NJYS Jazz Quorum. Over a decade since her first pair of sticks, Lucy is currently studying at the Jacobs School of Music of Indiana University. Amidst her studies, Lucy is the drummer for the Grammy-nominated Singing Hoosiers where she tours, records, and performs across the country. Lucy is also an audio engineer for Keep Making Music, a professional video and audio production company. Lucy uses these skills to write and produce music for many independent artists. Lucy also maintains a busy private teaching schedule and church drumming rotation. Lucy is thrilled to be with the Mac-Haydn Theatre.
