Children (Under 16) should prepare The Sound of Music selection from “The Lonely Goatherd” detailed below, as well as a short song appropriate to their age and ability. There will also be a short dance/movement exercise.

Tips for your Audition

A couple of things that might be helpful for you to consider ahead of the audition.

  • Pick a song that best shows off your voice, whether a ballad or up-tempo number.
  • Please keep in mind that there are often overwhelming numbers of ballads.
  • Consider the types of shows in the schedule and pick appropriate material.
  • People who are primarily singers are not expected to be polished dancers, but do need to show their movement ability.

We are so excited to once again have our local auditions and look forward to seeing you very soon!
