Costume Sale!

A month-long sale of costumes from overflowing storage spaces is planned by The Mac-Haydn Theatre.

“48 years-worth of costumes have added up”, says resident designer Jimm Halliday, who designed many of the things that will be in the sale. “We need to make space for the shows we’ll be doing in the future”.

“We plan to include costumes from shows such as “La Cage Aux Folles, Camelot, Les Miserables, Hello Dolly” and so many more that we’ve done in the last 48 years”, Halliday added.

Many one-of-a-kind items will be included, along with sets of ensemble costumes; all are suitable for theatre shows as well as unique Halloween costumes. Mac-Haydn costumes are created on site by the theatre costume shop staff, and always draw compliments from the audience. Most of the costumes are adult sizes but there are also some children’s things. New items will be added throughout the sale dates; keep checking www.machaydntheatre.org and the Mac-Haydn Facebook page for special offers.

The sale will be open to the public, at the theatre on Route 203 in Chatham, on September 30 and October 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16, 21, 22, 23, 28, 29 and 30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cash or checks only, please.
