Mac-Haydn Theatre Opens 2026 Season with The Addams Family
CHATHAM, NY (June 11, 2026)—The Mac-Haydn Theatre is thrilled to announce the opening of its 2026 season with the delightfully macabre musical comedy The Addams Family, running this June at the beloved summer theatre in Chatham, New York.
Steve Edlund returns after directing A Bronx Tale last season and is joined again by choreographer Kaitlyn Frank (2025 Berkshire Theatre Critics Award for Outstanding Choreography). This spooky, hilarious production kicks off the season with a perfect blend of heart, humor, and gothic charm.
Opening weekend includes the theatre’s annual Gala on Friday, June 12, a festive fundraising celebration featuring cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and a performance of The Addams Family. The gala serves as both a celebration of the new season and a vital fundraiser supporting Mac-Haydn’s mission to produce professional musical theatre and nurture emerging artists.
The cast is full of Mac-Haydn veterans and new faces alike. Gabe Belyeu and Erin Spears Ledford return as Gomez Addams and Alice Beineke—roles they played here in 2016! Familiar faces Madison Stratton (Bea, Something Rotten) and Steve Taylor (J.D., Escape to Margaritaville) round out the cast as Morticia Addams and Mal Beineke. They are joined by an all together ooky ensemble sure to raise the dead.
