Ethan Chaffee
Trumpet
Originally from Plymouth Minnesota, Ethan Chaffee is currently studying trumpet performance under the direction of Robert Baca at the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire. Ethan specializes in all styles of playing and is comfortable playing lead in jazz big bands, principal in wind ensembles and orchestras, as well as performing various solo literature. He has pit experience, most recently, on the road with the Book of Mormon national tour as lead trumpet and various regional productions such as Anything Goes, Fiddler on the Roof, Kinky Boots, Matilda, My Fair Lady, Come From Away, Little Shop of Horrors, and The Music Man. He is excited to be joining the Newsies pit orchestra for his second year at the Mac-Haydn theatre. Ethan works as a freelance musician in the Minneapolis/ St. Paul area. -
Connor Crotzer Scartascini
Music Supervisor, Music Director (The Addams Family, 9 to 5, The Secret Garden, Beautiful)
Connor Crotzer Scartascini is thrilled to be joining Mac-Haydn this summer! Originally from Silver Spring, MD, he holds a B.M. in Musical Theatre Accompanying from Shenandoah University, where he studied under former Broadway music director Patrick S. Brady. He is currently pursuing an M.F.A. in Music Direction from Penn State University, studying with renowned music director Darren R. Cohen. He has had the opportunity to perform worldwide in venues such as the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., Senzoku Gakuen College of Music in Tokyo, Japan, and for former Irish President Michael D. Higgins at his residence in Dublin, Ireland. Recent credits include The Morris & Essex Line, Melancholy Play: A Chamber Musical, Crazy for You at Penn State University; Almost Heaven: Songs of John Denver, Bright Star, The Addams Family at the Clinton Area Showboat Theatre; Rent, The Apple Tree at Shenandoah University. -

Sawyer Dahlen
Musician
Sawyer is thrilled to be a part of her first show at the Mac-Haydn! She is a rising fifth-year student at the Bard College Conservatory of Music, pursuing degrees in Piano Performance and Global & International Studies. Upcoming and recent credits include Frozen (Music Director) with the College Light Opera Company, Cabaret (Music Director) with the Bard Musical Theater Company, Miss Fairfield County (Keyboard 2) at 54 Below, and Sondheim on Sondheim (Rehearsal Pianist/Key 1) with the Brooklyn College MT Collective. She has also served as an Associate Conductor and Pit Pianist at CLOC from 2023-2025. Other pit orchestra credits include Into the Woods (Music Director) with the Bard Musical Theater Company, Sweeney Todd (AMD/Keyboard) at Columbia University; Urinetown (Piano-Conductor) at the Fisher Center at Bard; and the Bard Musical Theater Company's productions of Rent (Piano-Conductor), Pippin (Keyboard I) and Heathers. -

Georgia Holt
Bass
Georgia Holt is a rising senior music education major and double bassist at University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music from Homewood, IL. Studying under Rachel Calin, Georgia focuses on classical double bass, while also being well-rounded in bass guitar, musical theater, and jazz. She spent last summer at College Light Opera Company, where she played 9 different operettas and musicals for their 2025 season. Georgia is a current member of CCM’s Concert Orchestra and Wind Symphony. Regarding music education, Georgia recently interned for Cincinnati’s chapter of New Horizons Orchestra, where she taught beginning and intermediate strings for older people. Outside of music, Georgia has a passion for hiking, reading, and doing any type of puzzle. -

Sarah McCown
Reeds
Sarah McCown has performed across the country with the Broadway National Tour of How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical for the last two years. Her love of musicals started in her youth from watching VHS film adaptations with her grandparents. When not on tour, she performs for regional theatres in the DMV area and maintains a vibrant private lesson studio teaching flute, clarinet, and saxophone. McCown has a Doctor of Music in Woodwind Doubling from Shenandoah Conservatory, a Master of Music as a Woodwind Specialist from Michigan State University, and a Bachelor of Music from Tennessee Technological University. Her free time is spent playing video games and backpacking with her husband and little dog. -

Hunter McDonald
Reeds
Hunter McDonald (he/him) is excited to be making his Mac Haydn debut! He is currently a graduate student at Montclair State University pursuing an Artist Diploma in woodwind doubling. He holds degrees in clarinet performance from Towson University and Middle Tennessee State University. He can be found playing below stages around New York City and New Jersey (previously Nashville and DC). As a passionate educator, his private clarinet students have earned positions in the Tennessee All State Band and the Tennessee Governor’s School for the Arts. Thanks to mom, John, Josephine, Atticus, and Jet for their unwavering support in his musical endeavors. In his free time he enjoys knitting, reading, and baking sourdough. Celia Sieckert
Cello
Based in Boston, Massachusetts and Minneapolis, Minnesota, Celia Sieckert is a classically trained cellist with a Bachelor’s degree in Cello Performance from Berklee College of Music. She has performed as an orchestra member, chamber musician, and soloist in a variety of genres, ranging from standard symphonic works, cello concertos, and choral collaborations to musical pit orchestrations, improvised singer-songwriter accompaniments, and unaccompanied works. Just after turning eighteen, Celia made her solo debut at The Minnesota Orchestra’s Orchestra Hall as a cellist alongside Angelica Cantanti Youth Choirs. Celia was also an artist-in-residence at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater in June 2024. As her career continues, Celia hopes to focus her capabilities in folk and jazz vernaculars while continuing to interpret major works of the classical and contemporary cello repertoires. Celia’s primary theater credits (so far!) include Bright Star, Once, Anastasia, Carrie, Pippin, Hadestown, Into The Woods, and The Last Five Years. -

Jameel Stephens
Drums/Percussion
A Southside Chicago native, began playing drums at the age of 2, first using pots, pans, and spoons as a makeshift kit. By 5, he was playing in church, learning by ear from watching older musicians. Though he was more passionate about sports growing up, music was always present and always the most prevalent thing in his life. Recognized by professors as “a workable talent” he began taking formal drum lessons to compliment his natural gift. Now a professional drummer touring the world, Jameel credits faith as the foundation of his journey: “What I wanted was about me and that is never enough, what he wanted was about him and that’s more than I could ever imagine.” -
Ethan Swanson

Ethan Swanson is a recent graduate of the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre, and Dance, where he earned a BMA in Multidisciplinary Studies. Previous credits include: Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts 2023, 2024, and 2025 Summer Season (Assistant Music Director/Keyboard 2), Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812, Cabaret, (Assistant Music Director/Rehearsal Accompanist/Accordion/Keyboard), The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Bat Boy (Assistant Music Director/Keyboard 2) at the University of Michigan, The SpongeBob Musical, Footloose, and The Addams Family (Music Director/Keyboard) at Pioneer Theatre Guild, Tick Tick…Boom! Evelyn Tomaro
Music Director (Newsies, Daddy Long Legs)
Evelyn is thrilled to be returning for her second summer at the Mac-Haydn Theatre! In addition to her work at the Mac, Evelyn has spent the past year playing keys for the national tours of The Sound of Music and Phantom of the Opera. Favorite Music Direction Credits include: The Last 5 Years, A Bronx Tale, and A Grand Night for Singing (all at the Mac-Haydn!) She graduated from Berklee College of Music with a BM in professional music and minors in musical theater conducting and musical theater writing, Class of 2025. When Evelyn isn't music directing, she can be found writing songs for her original musical, working with clay, and slaying dragons of all shapes and sizes. -

Nicholas Zavaglia
Guitar
Nick Zavaglia is an active working guitarist from Milford, CT who, after a childhood of listening to and playing rock and heavy metal, would take his playing to the next level. He would study jazz guitar at University of Connecticut and ultimately receive his bachelor’s degree in February 2023. Combining the sophistication of Allan Holdsworth and Joe DiOrio with the tasteful playing of Gary Moore and David Gilmour, Nick has performed in a variety of different musical settings, including jazz, rock, and musical theater. He has performed for various regional theaters in CT, including Goodspeed Opera House and Ivoryton Playhouse, among many other local theaters, colleges, and school districts amongst CT. He has also performed on club dates and at bars throughout the Northeast. Nick is excited to make his debut at the Mac-Haydn Theatre during their summer season, and hopes you enjoy the show!
