Mac-Haydn Theatre Announces Limited Engagement of The Last Five Years—Two Nights Only!

CHATHAM, NY (July 30, 2025)—The Mac-Haydn Theatre is thrilled to present Jason Robert Brown’s celebrated musical, The Last Five Years, for an exclusive limited run of just two performances: Wednesday, July 30 and Friday, August 1.

This intimate, powerful two-person musical has captivated audiences around the world with its unique storytelling and unforgettable score. The Last Five Years chronicles the relationship between aspiring novelist Jamie and struggling actress Cathy, told through intersecting timelines that reveal the heartbreak and hope of love found and lost. Jonah Hale returns to the Mac-Haydn stage to play Jamie and newcomer, Amelia Barr, plays Cathy.

Known for its raw emotion and stunning songs like “Still Hurting” and “Goodbye Until Tomorrow,” The Last Five Years promises Mac-Haydn audiences a rare chance to experience this modern classic up close and personal, in a way only our intimate space can deliver.
