Madi Cupp-Enyard is a rising senior at Yale University, double majoring in Theater Studies and Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies. She has performed at The Muny, around Yale’s campus and now is thrilled to be acting as Dance Captain for this season, along with assisting Seb in Grease. She would like to thank Seb, John, Joy Hermalyn, and her family for supporting her.

Emma Flynn

Emma Flynn is over the moon to be returning to the Mac for her second season. She recently graduated from The Hartt School of Music where she earned a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre. Some of her favorite roles include Holly in The Wedding Singer and Nellie Forbush in South Pacific. Emma is so so grateful to the Mac-Haydn Theatre and the whole community of Chatham for welcoming her back for the summer!

Jonah Hale

Jonah is an NYC-based performer and is thrilled to be returning to Chatham and the Mac-Haydn stage this summer. Originally from Minnesota, Jonah moved to New York City in the fall of 2015 to attend Wagner College where he later graduated with a B.A. in Theatre Performance and a Minor in Dance. Jonah was last seen on the Mac-Haydn stage in 2022 as a gangster brushing up his Shakespeare in Kiss Me Kate. Other favorite Mac-Haydn credits include Kenickie in Grease, Sammy in The Wedding Singer, Smokey in Damn Yankees, and Santa Clause in Annie. Jonah would like to thank his friends and his family for all of their love and support. Special shout out to fellow Mac-Haydn alumni Jayke Workman.

Todd is thrilled to be making his Mac-Haydn debut this summer! Touring credits include the National companies of Damn Yankees, West Side Story, Man Of La Mancha, Annie, and 42nd Street. He has also toured throughout Asia with The Sound Of Music, The King And I, and Annie. Regional credits include multiple productions of Annie (Warbucks/ FDR/Drake), Gypsy (Herbie), The Full Monty (Teddy), and 1776 (Rutledge). When not on stage, Todd can be found announcing for minor league baseball games, golfing, and visiting MLB stadiums across the country. Love and thanks to my family!.

DeShaun Tost is a baritone hailing from Steubenville, Ohio. He graduated in 2018 from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy’s integrated program. Last summer he was a cast member in various productions at the Ohio Light Opera. He is delighted to be working here at the Mac-Haydn Theatre this season, and looks forward to bringing this outstanding repertoire to life.

Mac-Haydn Theatre Debut

Nick Miller is ecstatic to be part of MacHaydn Theatre’s 2019 summer season! Nick has been active on musical and operatic stages in his home state of Minnesota, Texas, Arizona, and surrounding New York City. Most recently, he been seen as Falstaff in Mixed Precipitation’s Merry Wives of Windsor, Plunkett in Utopia Opera’s Martha, and Judd in the Engeman Theatre’s Oklahoma! Aside from his stage work, Nick is also an active instructor in many musical disciplines and an avid double bass player.

Curtains is a brand new show for our audiences and we welcome a brand new director to lead the production.

Courtney Laine Self has directed and choreographed throughout the United States in both theatre and musicals. John Saunders said of Courtney: “We are really excited to have her here. Both our performers and our audiences are going to love her creative energy.”

Bruce De La Cruz leads the pit in this wonderful score. “I’m very excited to be returning to the Mac-Haydn this summer! Digging into this score over the past few weeks has been so much fun and I can’t wait to get started working on it with the always amazing talent at the Mac.”

Our costumes are designed by the legendary Jimm Halliday whose biography speaks for itself.

Andrew Gmoser lights the show and Erin Kiernan joins us for her 8th season as set designer. Theresa Alexander assits Courtney as associate choreographer.

Sound Designer Corbin White, Props Designer Joshua Gallagher and Hair & Makeup Designer Matthew Oliver reprise their roles in this hillarious show that we know will be a fun surprise for our audiences.

Courtney Laine Self

Courtney is thrilled to be making her Mac-Haydn debut! She recently directed/choreographed the regional theatre premiere of Fun Home at Millbrook Playhouse, directed/choreographed All Shook Up at The Hartt School, and directed the world premiere of new play Sheila and Moby in DC. Earlier this summer she assistant directed Proof of Love Off-Broadway co-produced by Audible Theatre and New York Theatre Workshop and last summer she associate directed Oliver! at Goodspeed Opera House. This summer in addition to Mac-Haydn, she’s directing/choreographing for Jean’s Playhouse, Millbrook Playhouse, New Paradigm Theatre Company, and Arizona Broadway Theatre. Previously, she was the Head of Dance for the BFA in Music Theatre and a professor of theatre and movement at Southern Illinois University. MFA: Directing, Southern Illinois University, BFA: Music Theatre, The Hartt School.

New Production Season Ended

This brassy and bright broadway smash makes its Mac-Haydn debut! It’s opening night at the Colonial Theatre when the leading lady mysteriously dies on stage. The cast and crew are all suspects when the leading detective shows up to crack the case and save the show. From the writers of Chicago and Cabaret, this Kander and Ebb whodunnit is a laugh riot with an incredible score to boot.

Bruce De La Cruz

Bruce De La Cruz graduated from Kean University with a B.M. In Piano Performance with an emphasis in pedagogy. Bruce enjoys being an active freelance musician, music director, arranger, accompanist, and private teacher. Bruce is a staff accompanist at Paper Mill Playhouse and accompanies various classes and lessons at Montclair University and Rutgers Mason Gross School of the Arts. Bruce has most recently served as music director for 13, High School Musical, Rent, Legally Blonde, If/Then, Title of Show, School of Rock Youth Production, Wendy’s Shadow (original musical), American Idiot and has recently conducted a full orchestra in a concert version of Porgy and Bess.

Colin Pritchard is jacked to be back and crack this attack at the Mac! He was last seen here as Bill Austin in Mamma Mia. Some of his favorite MHT roles are Freddy in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Igor in Young Frankenstein, Nathan in Guys & Dolls, Wilbur in Hairspray and Bobby in Crazy For You. Steve Hassmer couldn’t be more excited to be returning to the Mac-Haydn Theatre this summer. Monica M. Wemitt

Monica M. Wemitt is returning this summer to reprise her role of Mother Superior in SISTER ACT. MHT audiences have seen her in YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, STATE FAIR, LES MISERABLES, FULL MONTY, HELLO DOLLY, MAME, SOUND OF MUSIC, GIGI, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF and PHANTOM to name a few. What keeps her busy during her time off the stage now is narrator for audio books. As of this writing, she has narrated 17 books, most of which can be found on Audible. Break a leg to the company of SISTER ACT and to the cast & crew for the entire season. Sincere thanks to John, Paul, Todd, Eric and Andrew. I am ever in awe of all of your talents.

Erin Spears Ledford

Erin Spears Ledford is honored to return to The Mac- Haydn Theatre for her 10th Season where she has worked in both performance and creative roles. Erin’s past Mac- Haydn directing credits include: Footloose, Kiss Me Kate, Little Shop of Horrors, The Wedding Singer and Asst. Director on Man Of La Mancha. In 2021 Erin received a Berkshire Theatre Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Ilona in Mac- Haydn’s production of She Loves Me. Other memorable Mac roles include: The World Goes Round, Rosie in Mamma Mia, Sister Mary Patrick in Sister Act and Alice in Addams Family. Favorite regional credits include: Mrs. Sowerberry/ Nancy US in Oliver! (National Tour) and Anita in West Side Story (Circa 21.) When she is not treading the boards at The Mac, Erin works as a Teaching Artist with Inside Broadway in NYC. Thanks to JL, MDKR, JS.

Jimm Halliday

Beginning with Annie in 1984, Jimm has been a fixture here at The Mac for 33 seasons, having designed over 185 MainStage musicals. With the NETworks Touring Group, Jimm has been the Costume Director for over 25 National Tours since 1999, including Victor/Victoria with Toni Tennille, Annie at Madison Square Garden with Katie Lee Gifford, Bully with John Davidson, and Sweet Charity with Molly Ringwold. Jimm was the US Costume Associate for the last National Tour of Les Misérables and the Costume Director for the Toronto production of the show, which then transferred to Broadway. He also was Costume Director for the Kennedy Center production of Ragtime, winning the Helen Hayes Award for Best Costume Design. This fall Jimm will be working on the National Tours of The Sound of Music and The Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder. Special thanks to the amazing collection of cutters, stitchers, wardrobe and wig designers that have made these productions come to life, and to Lynne, John and Monica for always being there.

Gabe Belyeu

Gabe Belyeu is happy as always to be returning for his 14th season at the Mac! Last year you saw him as Julian Marsh in 42nd Street and Bob Crewe in Jersey Boys, as well as in our Sondheim review. This year you will see him reprise roles in All Shook Up and The Fantasticks, as well as another feature review! Other favorite roles at the Mac include Zaza in La Cage aux Folles, Javert in Les Miserables, and Tateh in Ragtime. Most recently, Gabe appeared as Sebastian in R&H’s Cinderella at Cape Fear Regional Theatre in North Carolina. This season’s performances at the Mac are dedicated to his late father Mike Belyeu; Miss you, dad.
