Nate Huvard is a guitarist, composer/arranger, and educator based in New York City. He is a versatile performer with experience playing jazz, classical, old-time, folk, hip-hop/R&B, rock and pop music, new music, and early music. Nate also plays tenor banjo, mandolin, renaissance lute, and theorbo, and has played in countless large ensembles including the Pittsburgh Opera, the Spoleto Festival Orchestra, and over 70 musical theater pit orchestras. Nate received a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of North Carolina (2016); a Master of Music degree in classical guitar performance from the Yale School of Music on a full tuition fellowship (2019); and a Master of Musical Arts from the Yale School of Music on a full tuition fellowship (2020). He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Stony Brook University.
