Welcome To Our COVID-19 Protocols Page
PLEASE NOTE THAT IN 2022, THE MAC-HAYDN WILL CONTINUE TO REQUIRE ALL PATRONS AND STAFF TO BE FULLY VACCINATED. AUDIENCE MEMBERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO WEAR A MASK WHEN INSIDE AT THE THEATRE.
Please take a moment to read through these protocols before you come to the theatre. We hope you will understand that these precautions are in place for the safety and health of our patrons, employees and the wider community.

The COVID-19 Vaccine: “What You Need To Know” from the CDC
Do I Need To Be Vaccinated To Attend A Performance?
Yes. All patrons, staff and performers will need to be fully vaccinated with an FDA-approved vaccine in order to attend performances at the Mac-Haydn Theatre. Furthermore, all patrons entering the theatre must show proof of vaccination with their valid ticket.
Though this may be adjusted as we get closer to our season, as of June, 2022 “Fully vaccinated” means the performance date you are attending must be:
- At least 14 days after your second dose of the Pfizer-BioNtech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, or
- At least 14 days after your single dose of Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen COVID-19 vaccine.
Please note, there will be absolutely no exceptions to this testing requirement for children under the age of 12.
Am I Required To Wear A Mask?
Yes. Out of an abundance of caution and because of the confined nature of our space and access points, we are requiring all patrons to wear masks while they are indoors at the theatre. This includes while you are seated. Please note that this is an adjustment to our previous mask policy which we made on July 31st. If this adjustment causes you concerns, please contact the Box Office. You will be eligible for a full refund of your tickets.
Note that patrons may remove their masks while in the uncovered areas surrounding the theatre’s entrance.
We thank you in advance for your willingness to comply.
Unvaccinated Children
Unfortunately, we will not be allowing unvaccinated children to attend the theatre, even if they have been tested and are accompanied by a vaccinated adult. As always, we are operating with an abundance of caution in an effort to protect the Mac-Haydn family and the Columbia County community. If you had intended to bring your child to the theatre, please Contact Our Box Office immediately.
What Proof Of My Vaccination Do I Need?
Proof of Vaccination
Proof of vaccination must come directly from the healthcare provider that performed the vaccination.
Guests can display proof on a smartphone or present a physical copy.
New York State residents or anyone who received a COVID-19 vaccine in New York State may present proof through the use of the Excelsior Pass.
Click Here for more details and to sign up for the Excelsior Pass.
Government Issued Photo ID
In addition to proof of vaccination, all guests 18 years or older must also be prepared to present a government-issued photo ID such as a driver’s license or passport. Guests younger than 18 may use a government-issued photo ID or school photo ID.
Please note, there will be absolutely no exceptions to these identification requirements.
I Was Vaccinated With A Vaccine Not Approved By The FDA. Can I Attend?
No. At the direction of New York State, The Mac-Haydn Theatre will only be accepting proof of FDA-approved COVID-19 vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson).
I Am Not Getting Vaccinated Or Will Not Be Fully Vaccinated In Time. Is There Any Way I Can Attend?
We are very sorry but unfortunately you are not eligible to attend any Mac-Haydn performances in 2022.
We hope you understand that the health and safety of our community must be our number one priority and that we must comply with the guidelines of the CDC and New York State Health authorities.
We really hope to see you back at the Mac-Haydn in the future.

Rememeber that all tickets will be available for purchase via 518-392-9292 or online at www.machaydntheatre.org/season-of-shows/
