Little Wally Dorset shows them why he is called Red Chief, Terror of the Plains. There’s lots of action and some terrific songs to help tell the story. This charming classic story has delighted generations of youngsters. Mac-Haydn’s own version features the Beast and lovely Beauty, as well as her loving father and two nasty brothers. There’s also Prettypurr the cat and Baroo the dog to help the humans along to the happy ending for all. Is there still Elf Magic to help the mortal people? Mary, the shoemaker’s daughter, is sure there must be, but her father is very doubtful. The Little People come through, though, with only a few close calls for all concerned.
