If you dropped a dollar in the animal collection box last summer, it's places like the EleanorSonsini Municipal Animal Shelter in Pittsfield where the money winds up. Here, Mac-Haydn Assistant Producer Barbara Peduzzi presents Shelter Manager Lynda Demke with a check to help with the shelter's ongoing adoption efforts. Julie, described by Demke as a "Shih Tzu mix," who is currently awaiting adoption, looks on. Approximately $1,900 is being distributed to a number of area shelters.
